Final Results
SIMI VALLEY, Calif. - The University of Hawai'i men's golf team finished tied for 17
th place after the final round of the Bill Cullum Invitational on Tuesday at the Wood Ranch Golf Club.
The Warriors shot a 307 (+19) in the third round to finish with a total score of 918 (302-309-307). San Diego (850) held on to their nine stroke lead over Arizona State (859) to win the tournament with a final score of 14-under 850.
Arizona State's John Rahm Rodriguez (72-65-67=204) took titlist honors after shooting a third round 67 to keep his three stroke lead over San Diego's Grant Forrest (69-67-71=207) in the final round.
The Warriors top finisher was senior
Cory Oride (72-75-75) who shot a third round 75 to finish in a tie for 29
th place with an overall score of 6-over 222.
Also competing for the Warriors were junior
Nainoa Calip (73-78-78=229/ T57), sophomores
Ryan Kuroiwa (77-77-76=230/ T65) and
Reo Saito (80-79-78=237/ T85) as well as freshman
Justin Chu (81-80-78=239/ T93).
The Warriors return home to host their final tournament of the fall season, the Warrior-Wave Intercollegiate presented by St. Regis Princeville Resort will take place Nov. 5-7 at the Makai Golf Course on Kaua'i.
