Day 1 Results
PALM DESERT, Calif. – Through two rounds of competition at the Wyoming Cowgirl Desert Intercollegiate, the University of Hawai'i shot a 619 (316-303) and are in ninth place after the first day of competition.
Senior Ka'ili Britos led the Rainbow Wahine with a two round score of 3-over 147 and is currently tied for fifth place with six other players. Britos started strong finishing the first round with a score of 75 and bettered her score in the second round with an even-par 72.
Freshman
Nichole Cruz is sitting in a tie for 20
th place after the first day, shooting a score of 8-over 152 (79-73) through two rounds of play.
Also competing for UH are juniors
Liana Otake (78-80=158/T48) and Charlee Kapiioho (84-78=162/T65) as well as senior
Megan Inouye (84-81=165/T84).
Fresno State leads the tournament at 580 and holds a 14-stroke lead over second place College of Charleston (594). Fresno State's Christine Uhalde holds the individual lead with a score of 4-under 140 (71-69) through two rounds of play.
The tournament will conclude on Sunday with the third and final round of play.
