No.11 Hawai‘i To Host Nevada and Fresno State

Match Notes

HONOLULU – The No.11 University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team will host a pair of WAC matches this week, first taking on Nevada on Thursday, Sept. 29, then against Fresno State on Saturday, Oct. 1.

UH holds a 12-1 overall record and are undefeated in the WAC (2-0). The Rainbow Wahine return home after opening WAC play on the road, topping both Idaho and Utah State in four sets.

Hawai'i leads the conference in kills per set (14.85), hitting percentage (.302), and assists per set (13.65). Individually, Emily Hartong and Brittany Hewitt rank No.1 and No.2 in hitting percentage (.396 and .379, respectively),  and Mita Uiato leads the conference in assists (550) and assists per set (11.46).

UH is 35-1all-time versus Nevada and 49-0 against Fresno State.

When: Thursday, Sept. 29 (7:00 p.m.) and Saturday, Oct. 1 (7:00 p.m.)
Where: Honolulu, Hawai'i (Stan Sheriff Center). 
Television: OCSports – Channels 12 (SD) and 1012 (HD) will be broadcasting both matches. Jim Leahey will be calling the play-by-play with Chris McLachlin doing color commentary.
