MOSCOW, Idaho – At Memorial Gym, the University of Hawai'i women's volleyball team defeated Idaho in four sets, 25-21, 25-19, 17-25, 25-21. The match was the WAC opener for both teams as UH improves to 11-1 overall and the Vandals drop to 5-8.

Kanani Danielson had a season-high 24 kills and with 10 digs, she became just the seventh player in program history to record 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in a career. Jane Croson posted 19 kills and 13 digs, Emily Hartong had nine kills and three blocks, and Mita Uiato added a match-high 50 assists to go along with 12 digs.

Alicia Milo had 19 kills and 12 digs for Idaho, who ended UH's regular season WAC set winning streak at 50.

The 'Bows struggled their way to a set one win. Outside of an early 8-6 score, neither team led by more than one point until UH grabbed a 21-19 lead on a Croson kill. Milo brought the Vandals to within point with a kill of her own, but two more Croson kills helped her team to the win.

Hawai'i pushed to a two-set lead with a win in the second set. Hartong recorded a kill and an ace to give the 'Bows an 18-11 lead midway through the set, but Idaho cut the advantage to 21-17 on an Alex Sele kill. Danielson responded with a pair of kills, and Kaela Goodman captured the win with her lone kill of the night.

After Idaho hung in the contest with a 25-17 win in set three, Hawai'i closed out the match in the fourth set. Idaho held the lead midway through at 14-10, but the 'Bows responded with a 7-1 run spearheaded by three Danielson kills. UH would never relinquish the lead as a trio of kills late in the set by Croson helped give the 'Bows the match.

UH now travels to Logan, Utah for a Saturday match versus Utah State. Start time is set for 2:00 p.m. MT.
