WORLEY, Idaho - The University of Hawai'i women's golf team began its season at the Circling Raven Collegiate Invitational Monday at the Circling Raven Golf Course. The Rainbow Wahine are currently in 20th place after two rounds of play with a combined score of 645 (322 and 333).
Junior Ka`ili Britos leads the team with a combined two-round score of 152 (74, 78). Britos was tied for sixth place after her first round 74 and finished the day tied for 10th after her second round 78.
After round one round of play, defending champion Northern Arizona shot a total of 305 and held a two shot lead over BYU, Washington State, Cal State Fullerton, and Cal State Northridge. Washington State turned it up during the second round, shooting an impressive 298 for a two round combined score of 605. They hold a nine stroke lead over second place San Francisco (310-304).
Caitline McCleary of Seattle University holds the individual lead with two rounds of 70 (-4).
The tournament concludes Tuesday with the third and final round.
