Oceanic Time Warner Cable Announces Launch Of OCSports

MILILANI, O'ahu – Oceanic Time Warner Cable announced the launch of OCSports featuring programming of local interest including live University of Hawai'i sports. The network will carry locally relevant programming including live and repeat telecasts of UH sporting events.

As in past years, Oceanic will also provide pay-per-view telecasts of many University of Hawai'i football, basketball and wahine basketball games.
 
“Our OCSports services were designed to shine a bright light on University of Hawai'i athletics and to help make those athletic programs fantastic local entertainment options in Hawai'i,” said Oceanic's Bob Barlow. The two offerings include:
 
·    -     OCSports PPV (channel 255 in standard definition, channel 1255 in high definition) - featuring live and same-day repeat pay-per-view telecasts of many University of Hawai'i football, men's basketball and Rainbow Wahine basketball games
 
·    -     OCSports (channel 12 in standard definition, channel 1012 in high definition) – featuring a variety of programming of local interest including live telecasts of UH sports and an expanded menu of repeat telecasts throughout the sports year on this 24/7 linear program stream

OCSports will kick off with the University of Hawaii's women soccer season opener against Washington State University on Friday, August 19, 2011.
