Britos Ties For 29th At Anteater Invitational

DOVE CANYON, Calif. – University of Hawai'i women's golfer Ka'ili Britos tied for 29th place at the Anteater Invitational, Tuesday at the Dove Canyon Country Club.
 
Britos, a sophomore from Honolulu, fired her second consecutive 77 for a three-round total of 234 (80-77-77). She helped the team to an 11th place finish with a score of 966 (322-319-325).
 
Also competing for the Rainbow Wahine was freshman Anna DePalma, who shot a final round 4-over 75 to finish the tournament at 236 (79-82-75) and a tie for 31st place. Senior Brittany Bomar carded a 245 (82-81-82) and finished in a tie for 49th while sophomore Brigitte Baker tied for 57th at 251 (81-79-91).
 
Portland State captured the team title with a two-day score of 890, edging out Nevada (896), UC Irvine (899) and first day leader Long Beach State (900). Individually, Portland State's Lauren Taylor hung on to take medalist honors with a final round 75 and 218 total.
 
The Rainbow Wahine will take the next two weeks off before competing in the Western Athletic Conference Championship, April 15-17 in Mesa, Ariz.
