Final Results
KANE'OHE, O'ahu – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team finished in 11
th place of its very own Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational, Tuesday, at the Kane'ohe Klipper Golf Course on Marine Corps Base Hawai'i.
The Rainbow Wahine concluded the two-day tournament with a final round 327 for a three-round total of 943 (302-314-327). Arizona State captured the team title with an 887 while ASU's Carlotta Ciganda edged out Arizona's Alejandra Llaneza by one stroke with a final round 73 for a 1-under 215.
UH's
Erika Lundberg shot her third consecutive round in the 70s with a steady 5-over 77. She completed the tournament with at 229 (76-76-77), which tied her for 17
th place. Sophomore Kaili Britos fired a final round 80 for a 235 total (77-78-80) and tied for 45
th.
Freshman
Liana Otake, who competed as an individual, shot her best round at UH with a final round 75 to complete the tournament at 234 (82-77-75/T-37
th). Other individuals were
Madeleine Ystrom (80-78-80=238/T-59
th),
Megan Inouye (83-80-80=243/T-72
nd), and Charlee Kapiioho (80-89-83/T-95
th).
The Rainbow Wahine will next host the Paradise Desert Classic, Wednesday, March 16 at Luana Hills Country Club. Joining UH in the one-day, one-round event is Arizona State, Columbia, Hawai'i-Hilo, and Osaka Gakuin.
