Rainbow Baseball Set To Host Centenary College

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i baseball team continues its homestand this weekend with a four-game series versus Centenary College. The Rainbows and Gents will play a four-game series at Les Murakami Stadium from March 18-21. The teams will play Friday and Saturday at 6:35 p.m., Sunday at 1:05 p.m., and Monday at 6:35 p.m. 

The 'Bows are currently 7-9 after last weekend's series split against Portland. Kolten Wong was named Western Athletic Conference Player of the Week after a stellar four games against the Pilots. For the week, he batted .556 (10 for 18) and tallied six RBI, two doubles, and two home runs. In the series finale, he hit two homeruns including the gamewinner in the 10th inning to give UH a 6-5 win. 

Connor Little improved to 2-0 on the mound. In winning game two, he tossed five and two-thirds innings allowing three runs with six strikeouts.

Ticket Information: Individual game tickets are $8 in the lower and mid levels. Adult tickets in the upper level are $6, with senior citizens for $5 and student tickets in the upper level for $3. In addition to purchasing tickets online at HawaiiAthletics.com, fans can visit the Stan Sheriff Center Box Office, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., or call 944-2697 during the same hours.
Promotions: Phiten is the game sponsor Friday and Saturday and the Hawaii Army National Guard is the game sponsor on Sunday and Monday. Fans are reminded to register at the sports marketing table inside the main entrance for the chance to win great prizes from the game sponsors. Also, the team will be available for photos and autographs after Friday's game, as they will for all Friday home games. Fans can proceed to the field via the stairs located at the lower level of Section JJ on the first-base side of the field. The players will be available on the field for 30 minutes for “Autograph Friday”. Fans are encouraged to bring items for the players to sign.
Coaches: Mike Trapasso (287-253) is in his 10th year at UH. Mike Diaz (3-6) is in his first year at Centenary.
Series Information: Hawai'i leads 4-0. Last meeting was in 2010.
