Men’s Golf In 15th After Day 1 Of Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate

Day 1 Results

PALM DESERT, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team is tied for 15th place after the first day of the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate at the Classic Club. The tournament was slated for 36 holes on Saturday, however, darkness suspended Round 2 play.
 
The Warriors are tied with New Mexico for 15th place after firing a first round 310. Freshman Nainoa Calip is tied for 19th with a 2-over 74. Two shots back is freshman Tommy Yamashita (76).
 
Junior T.J. Kua is tied for 43rd after shooting a 5-over 77 while sophomore Henry Park shot an 83. Senior Kamden Brakel was disqualified.
 
The tournament concludes on Sunday with the completion of Round 2 and the final 18 holes to follow.
