KAPOLEI, O'ahu – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team is in 11th place after the first day of hosting the Rainbow Wahine Invitiational Tuesday at the Kapolei Golf Course. The Rainbow Wahine started the day with a first round score of 318 and improved slightly in the second round with a 313 giving them a 631 total for the tournament.
The top performer for UH was junior Ka'ili Britos who is currently in a tie for 12th place going into Wednesday's final round. Britos started the day with a first round 2-over 74, followed by a 1-over 73 which is her second-lowest score of the season.
Also competing for Hawai'i are sophomore Charlee Kapiioho (83-79=162/t53rd), senior
Megan Inouye (82-80=162/t53rd), sophomore
Anna DePalma (81-81=162/t53rd), and sophomore
Liana Otake (84-80=164/t58th).
UCLA leads the tournament in team scoring at 10-under par (288-278=566). UCLA's Lee Lopez is the top individual at 5-under par (68-71=139).
The tournament will conclude Wednesday with the third and final round.
