Day 1 Results
LAKE TAHOE, Nev. – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team is currently tied for 12th place after two rounds of play at the Wolf Pack Classic. Hawai'i got off to a slow start with a first round score of 319, but finished the day by carding the third lowest round of the afternoon, with a score of 297.
Freshman
Brian Lee was the biggest reason for the afternoon turnaround. After shooting a first round 83, Lee bounced back in round two with his first career round in the 60s, with a 3-under par, 69. He finished the day tied for 36th.
T.J. Kua is the top overall individual for Hawai'i shooting rounds of 75, and 73, putting him at a tie for 12th.
Also competing for Hawai'i are junior
Henry Park (79-74=153/t41), freshman
Ryan Kuroiwa (82-81=163/t75), and sophomore
Tommy Yamashita (84-83=167).
Leading team competition is Nevada with a score of 585. UNR's Gustavo Chuang (67-77) and Sac State's Jordan Weir (75-69) are tied for the individual lead at even-par.
