Poljakova Falls At ITA Riviera All-American Championships

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - University of Hawai'i women's tennis player Katarina Poljakova fell in the pre-qualifying round of the ITA Riviera Women's All-American Championships hosted at the UCLA Tennis Center on Saturday.
 
Sixty-four players representing nearly 50 schools from across the nation competed in today's pre-qualification round of the eight-day tournament. Poljakova was the lone Rainbow Wahine in action on the opening day in singles. The junior fell in straight sets in the opening round to Georgia Tech's Lynn Blau, 6-1, 6-2.
 
The Rainbow Wahine tennis team opens their 2011-12 season hosting the Rainbow Wahine Invitational featuring Hawai'i, HPU, Chaminade, and BYU-Hawai'i Oct. 6-8 at the UH Tennis Center.
