Hawai'i and Portland State met twice in the AIAW Tournament in 1976 (Austin, Texas) and 1980 (Santa Barbara, Calif.). UH defeated Washington in 1979 (AIAW National Tournament in Carbondale, Ill.) and 2002 (NCAA 2nd round in Honolulu).
