Rainbow Wahine Golf In Sixth At Turtle Bay Invite

Round 1 Results

KAHUKU, O'ahu – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team kicked off the first round of the Turtle Bay Resort College Invitational, Tuesday, at the Arnold Palmer Course. The Rainbow Wahine carded a 310 to end the day in sixth place.
 
Sophomore Ka'ili Britos leads the team in a tie for fifth at even-par (72). She is joined by freshman Madeleine Ystrom (76/T17th), freshman Charlee Kapiioho (79/T24th), sophomore Brigitte Baker (83/36th), and senior Brittany Bomar (85/T37th).
 
Competing as individuals are freshmen Liana Otake (79/T24th) and Anna DePalma (80/T30th), along with juniors Erika Lundberg (86/39th) and Megan Inouye (88/40th).
 
Princeton leads the team standings at two-over par (290), followed by Brigham Young (294), and UC Irvine (297). Individually, Kelly Shon of Princeton is in first after firing a three-under, 69. She has a one-stroke lead over UC Irvine's Michelle Park going into Day 2.
 
The tournament continues Wednesday with the second round and concludes Thursday with the third and final round.
