Women’s Golf Concludes Giustina Memorial in Seventh

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team earned seventh place at the Giustina Memorial Classic, Tuesday, at the Trysting Tree Golf Club. The Rainbow Wahine shot rounds of 321, 314, and 317 for a 952 total.
 
Top finisher for UH was sophomore Erika Lundberg who moved up eight places from the second round to finish in 21st place. Lundberg shot a 236 three-round total (79-81-76) including six birdies. Senior Corie Hou was just one shot back at 237 (81-78-78) and finished tied for 22nd place.
 
Also competing for the Rainbow Wahine were freshman Ka'ili Britos (83-74-82=246/T27th), senior Erin Matsuoka (79-86-81=246/T40th), and freshman Brigitte Baker (82-81-88=251/46th).
 
Winning the team title was Oregon at 32-over par (296-302-298=896), with its own Kendra Little winning the individual title 2-under par (73-69-72=214). Little concluded the tournament nine shots ahead of the second place finisher, Juanita Rico of Wyoming.
 
The Rainbow Wahine go on the road again next week to compete in the Heather Farr Memorial, Oct. 5 through 6, in Erie, Colo.
