HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i Athletics Department welcomes the general public to participate in the Manoa Makeover cleanup of the Makai Campus Athletics Complex and surrounding facilities, Saturday, August 15.
Anyone interested in volunteering for the event should contact Sis Finau at 956-7350 or
mfinau@hawaii.edu by Monday, August 10. The cleanup, which includes pressure washing, general cleaning, and landscaping, runs from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Registration is 7:30 a.m. at the Lecture Hall.
Volunteers will be served lunch at noon.
The Manoa Makeover initiative encourages and facilitates volunteer projects aimed at beautifying the historic UH Manoa campus. UH Athletics' first Manoa Makeover occurred August 2008 and more than 100 staff, coaches, student-athletes, administrators and friends joined Manoa Chancellor Virginia Hinshaw with the cleanup.
