No. 56 Nevada Sweeps Rainbow Wahine Tennis

RENO, Nev. - The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to No. 56 Nevada on the road, 7-0, Monday, at the Lakewood Tennis Club. UH falls to 10-11 on the season and 2-2 in Western Athletic Conference play.

The Rainbow Wahine were swept, losing all three doubles matches to lose the doubles point. The closest match was at the No. 3 position. The duo of freshmen Ellen Linsenbolz and Aglae Van den Bergh lost a nail niting 9-7 match to Florence De Vrye and Lais Ogata.

In singles play, UH did not fare any better as they lost all six matches, four of the six matches went three sets. Linsenbolz, freshmen Anja-Vanessa Peter and Alyssa Nafarrete, and Van den Bergh dropped close three set matches at the No. 2, 3, 5, and 6 positions respectively.

The Rainbow Wahine will look to rebound as they face San Jose State on the road on Tuesday, April 7. First serve is set for 2:00 p.m. match.
