BOISE, Idaho - The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team bounced back to defeat Louisiana Tech in its second match of the day, earning a 7-0 sweep, Friday afternoon, at the Appleton Tennis Complex. UH improved to 9-10 on the season and is 1-1 in Western Athletic Conference play.
In singles play, the Rainbow Wahine crushed the Bulldogs in all six matches in straight sets. Kobuch blanked Ada Makowska, 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 2 court. Nafarrete nearly blanked Mallory Smith at No. 5, 6-1, 6-0. Altogether, the Rainbow Wahine allowed Louisiana Tech to win 14 total games in six matches.
UH will continue WAC play, against Utah State on Saturday, April 4. First serve is set for 1:30 p.m. at the Appleton Tennis Complex in Boise, Idaho.
