BOISE, Idaho - The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team opened Western Athletic Conference play on the road with a loss 7-0 to No. 38 Boise State, Friday, at the Appleton Tennis Complex. UH falls to 8-10 on the season.
The Rainbow Wahine were swept, losing all three doubles matches to lose the doubles point. The team of #73 Lauren Megale and Pichittra Thongdac beat
Sophie Kobuch and
Anja-Vanessa Peter 8-4 at the No. 1 position.
In singles play, UH did not fare any better as they lost all six matches in straight sets. No. 72 Thongdach ousted
Ellen Linsenbolz, 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 1 court.
The Rainbow Wahine will look to bounce back this afternoon, taking on Louisiana Tech in a 5:30 p.m. match.
