LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The University of Hawai`i women's tennis picked up another league win with a 6-1 victory over Idaho Friday at the New Mexico State Tennis Center. The Rainbow Wahine moved to 11-12 overall and 3-3 in the Western Athletic Conference, while the Vandals fell to 19-8 and 3-4 in the WAC.

 

It was the second match of the day for the Rainbow Wahine who fell to No. 15 Fresno State earlier. The Rainbow Wahine bounced back nicely against the Vandals, sweeping all three doubles matches and five of six singles matches. Sophie Kobuch, Anja-Vanessa Peter, Aglae Van Den Bergh, Melinda Wong and Alyssa Nafarrete each picked up wins in singles action. UH's lone loss was a close affair as #Ellen Linsenbolz# fell to Maria Perevoshchikov 7-6, 1-6, 1-0 (10-3).

 

The Rainbow Wahine will play its second match of the day when it faces Idaho at 6:00 p.m. MT at the New Mexico State Tennis Center.
