HONOLULU – The University of Hawai`i women's tennis team defeated Hawai'i Pacific, 4-3, Wednesday, at the UH Tennis Complex. UH improved to 3-5 on the season.

The Rainbow Wahine won two of the three doubles matches to earn the doubles point.  The team of junior Sophie Kobuch and freshman Aglae Van den Bergh and the duo of senior Melinda Wong and freshman Anja-Vanessa Peter earned 8-3 and 8-5 victories at the No. 1 and 2 courts respectively.

In singles play, UH won three of the six matches to clinch the dual match win. Kobuch, Peter, and Wong earned victories at the No. 1-3 positions.   

The Rainbow Wahine will next play against Chaminade, Thursday, at the UH Tennis Complex. First serve is set for 4:30 p.m.
