Men's Basketball Plays Pivotal Game At San Jose State

Game Notes

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- The University of Hawai`i men's basketball team battles San Jose State in a crucial Western Athletic Conference showdown on Saturday, Feb. 28. Tip-off is 7:00 p.m. PT (5:00 p.m. HT) at the Walter McPherson Court.

With just two remaining league games for the 'Bows (13-14, 5-9 WAC), Saturday's final regular-season road game looms large in the race for seeding in the upcoming WAC Tournament in Reno, Nev. Just a half game separates three teams for the sixth, seventh and eighth spots. UH dropped into a tie for seventh place with Louisiana Tech following its 82-62 loss at Utah State on Thursday night. San Jose State (12-14, 5-8 WAC) meanwhile, moved a half game ahead of the 'Bows for sixth place following its 72-64 home win over Idaho.

UH looks to avenge a 73-61 home loss to the Spartans more than a month ago in Honolulu, while San Jose State looks for its first season sweep of UH in six seasons.
Following its meeting with the Spartans, the 'Bows play its regular-season finale at home versus New Mexico State on Saturday, March 7.
