Men’s Basketball Heads To Utah State For WAC Tilt

The University of Hawai`i men's basketball team heads down the home stretch of the Western Athletic Conference regular-season with two of its final three games on the road. First up for the 'Bows is a meeting with first-place Utah State on Thursday, Feb. 26 at 7:00 p.m. MT (4:00 p.m. HT) at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.

The 'Bows (13-13) have won three of their last four league games to move into sixth place in the WAC standings with a 5-8 mark. UH is 1.5 games behind fifth-place Idaho (6-6) and just ahead of seventh place San Jose State (4-8) and eighth place Louisiana Tech (4-9). Hawai'i has won two of its last three road games, including a a huge 73-69 win in its last outing at Fresno State on Feb. 19.            

UH will face a stiff test in Utah State. The Aggies are 15-0 at home this year and hold the second-longest active home win streak in the nation at 32 games. Utah State (25-3, 12-1) has already captured a share of the WAC regular season title and can claim the championship outright with a win on Thursday. 
Following its meeting with the Aggies, the 'Bows play at San Jose State in a pivotal contest on Saturday, Feb. 28.
