FRESNO, Calif. – University of Hawai'i women's golfer
Carolina Perez is in ninth place after two rounds of the Fresno State Lexus Classic, Monday, at the Copper River Country Club. The Rainbow Wahine are currently in 11
th place after carding rounds of 306 and 313 for a 619 total.
Perez, a senior from Ibague, Columbia, fired two rounds of 73 for a 146 total at 2-over-par. Perez had five birdies and 24 pars on the day. She also, along with two other golfers, leads the field in Par 4 Scoring at 2-under. Going in to Round 3, Perez is nine shots off the lead and five shots back from second place.

Corie Hou (78-76=154) who is tied for 29
th, junior
Erin Matsuoka (71-83=157) who is tied for 42
nd, and senior
Phyllis Lai (81-81=162) who is tied for 58
th place.
Currently leading the team standings is San Francisco at 14-over-par (297-293=590) with UC Irvine following close behind with 591. Leading individually is Miki Ueoka of Santa Clara who sits at 7-under par (68-69=137). Ueoka has a four-shot lead going in to Round 3.
The Lexus Classic concludes Tuesday with the third and final round.
