Final Results
KAHUKU, O'ahu – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team carded a final-round 320 playing on the Arnold Palmer Course, Wednesday, at the Turtle Bay Resort College Invitational. With previous rounds of 301 and 305, the Rainbow Wahine finished in a two-way tie for 12
th place with a 926 total, their best three-round score of the season.
For the third time this season senior
Corie Hou was top-finisher for UH, sinking eight birdies, four in the third round alone, to card rounds of 76, 74, and 74. Hou finished in a tie for 21
st place at eight-over par, and earned her best 54-hole score of the season (224).
Also earning her best three-round score of the season was freshman
Brigitte Baker who finished tied for 42
nd with a 231 total (76-74-81). Sophomore
Erika Lundberg (77-79-79=235/T61st), junior
Brittany Bomar (75-78-76=239/T76th), and freshman
Ka'ili Britos (74-81-86=241/T80th) rounded out the Rainbow Wahine squad.
UC Davis (281-290-297=868), leader through all three rounds, won the team title at four-over par, nine strokes ahead of second place UCLA. Lizette Salas of USC took the individual title by five strokes, finishing the tournament at eight-under par (71-67-70=208).
This tournament was the last of the Rainbow Wahine's fall season. They will return in February by competing in the Aztec Spring Invitational, the 14th through 16th, in San Diego, Calif.
