HONOLULU - The University of Hawai'i women's tennis team was back in action in day two of the Rainbow Wahine Invitational Friday at the UH Tennis Complex. Three players represented UH in both singles and doubles action.
In doubles, UH's duo of sophomore
Alyssa Nafarrete and freshman
Mari Tadaki rolled over Mariana Perez and Saskia Kruse of Texas State, 8-5. Meanwhile, Rainbow Wahine sophomore
Dasha Lagmay teamed with Tinka Mihova of Hawai`i Pacific for a 9-7 doubles win over Nyssa Peele and Amanda Alvarado of Texas State.
In singles action, UH took one of three matches. Nafarette was a straight-set winner over Perez, 6-2, 6-4. Tadaki fell to Kruse in a tight match, 6-4, 6-4, while Lagmay lost in straight sets to Peele, 6-0, 6-1.
The three-day tournament concludes Saturday with first serve set for 10:00 a.m. at the UH Tennis Complex.
