TULSA, Okla. – Dennis Lajola, the University of Hawai'i's lone remaining representative remaining in the D'Novo/ITA All-American Tennis Championships was eliminated in the consolation draw Friday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.

 

Lajola, No. 43 in the preseason ITA singles ranking fell to Dmitar Kustrovsky of Texas in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. Kustrovsky is the nation's sixth-ranked player.

 

Next up for Hawai'i is the ITA Southwest Regionals, Oct. 16-21, in Maliu, Calif. A total of eight players will represent the Rainbow Warriors at the annual competition.
