Women’s Golf Finishes Farr Memorial Tied For 11th

Final Results

ERIE, Colo. – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team carded rounds of 305, 321, and 310 for a 936 total at the Heather Farr/CU Memorial, Tuesday, at the Colorado National Golf Club. The Rainbow Wahine finished tied for 11th place along with Portland State.
 
Top finisher for UH was senior Corie Hou who fired a final-round 74 to finish at 14-over par (77-79-74=230). Hou fought her way up 17 places from the second round, tying for 28th place. Two shots back of Hou were sophomore Erika Lundberg (77-76-79=232) and freshman Brigitte Baker, both tying for 36th at 16-over par (71-80-81=232).
 
Also competing for the Rainbow Wahine were junior Brittany Bomar (82-86-76=244/T81st) and freshman Ka'ili Britos (80-90-84=254/T97th).
 
Texas Tech carded three impressive rounds to win the tournament's team title at 18-over par (290-296-296=882), 12 shots ahead of second place finisher Nebraska.
 
Winning the individual title was Texas Tech's Alex Gibson, co-leader after the first round and leader through the second and third rounds. Gibson finished with a 213 total (70-71-72), five shots ahead of the competition, and was the only player to finish under par.
 
Up next for UH is the Stanford Intercollegiate, Oct. 16 through 18, in Palo Alto, Calif.
