Warrior Golf Tied For Second At Kaua‘i Collegiate Invitational

Round 2 Results

LIHUE, Kaua'i – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team posted their best round of the season, 284, in Round 2 of the Kaua'i Collegiate Invitational, Tuesday, at the Puakea Golf Course. The Warriors are currently tied for second place, along with James Madison, with a 573 total.
 
Leading the way for UH is sophomore #T.J. Kua# who is in a three-way tie for fourth place at six-under par. Kua fired rounds of 67 and 71 for a 138 total, just four shots back of the leading individual. Following closely behind is sophomore Jared Sawada who carded two rounds of 70 to tie for eighth place at four-under par.
 
Also competing for the Warriors are freshman Alex Chu (78-67=145) who shaved 11 shots off of his first-round score to tie for 23rd, junior Kamden Brakel (75-76=151) who is tied for 36th, and freshman Cory Oride (77-76=153) who is tied for 42nd. Competing as individuals are sophomore Pono Calip (81-76=157/T52nd) and freshman Daniel Koge (83-78=161/55th).
 
Carrying its lead over from the first round was San Diego who sits at 26-under par (274-276=550). San Diego's Ben Murray leads individually at ten-under par (66-68=134).
 
The tournament concludes Wednesday with the third and final round.
