Final Results
LA QUINTA, Calif. – The University of Hawai'i men's golf team finished in 13
th place at the Prestige at PGA West, Tuesday, at the TPC Stadium Course. The Warriors shot rounds of 312, 321, and 306 for a 939 total.
Sharing the spot for top-finisher for UH were sophomore
Jared Sawada (77-83-72) and freshman
Alex Chu (79-76-77). Both men carded a 232 three-round total to tie for 66
th place.
Also competing for the Warriors were junior
Kamden Brakel (78-82-79=239/74th), sophomore #T.J. Kua# (78-85-78=241/77th), and freshman
Daniel Koge (79-80-86=245/79th).
TCU won the tournament's team title for the second year in a row by carding a 14-under par (289-285-276=850), 16 shots ahead of second place finisher Stanford. Contributing to this win was TCU's Daniel Jennevret who won the individual title at 12-under par.
In two weeks, UH will host their first tournament of the fall season, the Kaua'i Collegiate Invitational, beginning Oct. 26 in Lihue, Kaua'i.
