’Bows and Spartans Square Off On Saturday Night

Game Notes
Warrior fans cheer for good defense against Boise State

HONOLULU – The University of Hawaii Rainbow Warrior basketball team returns home to host San Jose State in a Western Athletic Conference match-up Saturday, Jan. 17. Tip-off is 7:05 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Both teams look to move up the WAC standings after slow starts. The 'Bows and Spartans are currently in a three-way tie with Louisiana Tech for sixth place with identical 1-3 records. UH has lost its last two league games with both coming on the road. Hawai`i has particularly struggled offensively, scoring below 50 points in back-to-back losses at Idaho and Boise State.
This will be San Jose State's third straight road game after an overtime win at Fresno State on Jan. 10 and a loss at Cal State Bakersfield on Jan. 12. UH has an 11 game-win streak against San Jose State dating back to 2004, the longest current e streak against a conference opponent.
