Hawai`i Holds Seven-Shot Lead Going Into Final Day Of WAC Championships

Second Round Results

FRESNO, Calif. - The University of Hawai`i Rainbow Wahine golf team (301-302-603) remains in first place, seven shots ahead of Fresno State, after the second round of the Western Athletic Conference Championships Tuesday.

Corie Hou (72-73-145) took over the individual lead by herself, holding a two-stroke lead over the field. Xyra Suyetsugu (75-79-154) is in 10th, followed by Phyllis Lai (78-77-155), tied for 11th, and Carolina Perez (84-73-157) and Lisa Kajihara (76-81-157), tied for 18th.

UH (+27) is followed by Fresno State (+34), New Mexico State (+38), San Jose State (+40), Idaho (+44), Boise State (+53) and Nevada (+54).

Hou (+1) has a two-shot lead over Suteera Chanachai of New Mexico State and Laura Luethke of Fresno State (+3). New Mexico State's Brittany Collins (+6) is in fourth, with Idaho's Kelly Nakashima and San Jose State's Erica Moston (+7) tied for fifth.
