Final Results

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The University of Hawai`i Rainbow Wahine golf team (318-312-315-945) finished up the SJSU Spartan Invitational in 11th place at the Almaden Country Club Tuesday.

Xyra Suyetsugu (76-76-76-228) was UH's top finisher, tying for 12th. Carolina Perez (81-77-82-240) finished tied for 46th, followed by Lisa Kajihara (79-82-80-241), tied for 50th, Corie Hou (82-84-77-243), tied for 54th, and Phyllis Lai, tied for 58th.

California won the team title at 35-over-par. Host San Jose State (+40) finished in second, followed by UC Irvine (+42), Washington (+47) and San Francisco (+48).

UC Irvine's Selanee' Henderson was the wire-to-wire leader, taking the individual title at two-over-par. She was followed by California's Pia Halbig and Allison Goodman (+4), Washington's Christina Yoon (+7) and Cristina Corpus of SJSU and Sydney Crane of North Carolina (+8).

UH will now have a couple of weeks to practice before hosting their Donnis Thompson Invitational from March 17-19 at Kane`ohe Klipper Course.
