Warriors In 12th After Second Day At Ron Moore Invitational

GOODYEAR, Ariz. - The University of Hawai`i Warrior golf team (288-289-577) are in 12th after the second round of the Ron Moore Invitational at the Palm Valley Golf Club Saturday.

Kyle Walters (69-72-141) continues to lead the Warriors, tying for 22nd. Travis Toyama (74-69-143) moved up to a tie for 28th, followed by Robert Berton (71-73-144), tied for 32nd, Kamden Brakel (74-75-149), tied for 59th, and Ryan Perez (76-76-152), tied for 67th.

San Diego continues to lead the tournament at 21-under-par. They are followed by Kansas State (-18), the Canadian Developmental team (-13), Colorado State (-12) and Denver and Boise State (-10).

Individually, Boise State's Troy Merritt holds the lead at 12-under-par. San Diego's Blake Trimble and Darren Hupfer of the Canadian Developmental team are tied for second at eight-under-par, with Canadian Developmental team's Mathieu Rivard (-7) in fourth. Three golfers are tied for fifth at six-under-par.

The tournament concludes with the final round tomorrow.
