Rainbow Wahine In Fourth Going Into Final Round At Donnis Thompson Invitational

Second Round Results

KANE`OHE, O`ahu - The University of Hawai`i Rainbow Wahine team (303-302-605) are in fourth place after two rounds in the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational at the Kane`ohe Klipper Golf Course Tuesday.

Lisa Kajihara (77-70-147) posted a great second round to move into a tie for sixth. Carolina Perez (75-75-150) moved into 11th place, followed by Xyra Suyetsugu (75-79-154), tied for 19th, Corie Hou (76-84-160), tied for 41st, and Kimberley Marsden (83-78-161), tied for 47th.

Three Rainbow Wahine are competing as individuals. Phyllis Lai (77-77-154) leads that group, tying for 19th. Erin Matsuoka (82-81-163) is tied for 59th, with Kana Aikawa (84-88-172) in 84th place.

Oklahoma State was able to catch Arizona as the two are tied for the tournament-lead at 11-over-par, heading into the final round. Arizona State follows at 18-over-par, with Hawai`i (+29) and UTEP (+47) rounding out the top five.

Individually, Arizona's Alison Walshe leads at four-under-par. She's followed by Anna Nordqvist of Arizona State (-2), ASU's Azahara Munoz and Oklahoma State's Pernilla Lindberg and Karin Kinnerud (+2), and three players tied for sixth at three-over-par.

The tournament concludes with the final round tomorrow.
