Final Results
WAIKOLOA, Hawai`i - The University of Hawai`i Warrior golf team (292-278-298-868) finished the UH-Hilo Invitational in 18th place at the Waikoloa Village Golf Course Friday.
Kyle Walters (72-67-74-213) finished the tournament as UH's top golfer, tying for 47th. Travis Toyama (72-70-73-215) tied for 53rd, followed by Robert Berton (71-71-76-218), tied for 73rd, Ryan Perez (77-70-76-223), tied for 85th, and Cody Pewarchuk (77-76-75-228), who finished in 92nd.
Three Warriors competed as individuals. Daniel Soglanich (75-79-79-233) finished in 94th, with Kamden Brakel (82-78-79-239) in 95th and Chase Bingham (80-81-84-245) in 96th.
Stanford won the team title, finishing at 27-under-par. Arizona State and Southern California tied for second at 24-under-par, followed by Georgia Tech (-16) and Texas Tech (-11).
ASU's Jesper Kennegard (-13) won the individual title. He was followed Rob Grube and Sihwan Kim of Stanford (-11), Cameron Tringale of Georgia Tech (-10) and Jamie Lovemark and Rory Hie of USC and Nick Taylor of Washington (-9).
The Warriors will next host the John A. Burns Intercollegiate from Feb. 20-22 at the Leilehua Golf Course.
