Warriors Move To 16th After Second Day At UH-Hilo Invitational

Round Two Results

WAIKOLOA, Hawai`i - The University of Hawai`i Warrior golf team (292-278-570) shot a two-under-par 278 as a team to move to 16th place after the second day of the UH-Hilo Invitational at the Waikoloa Village Golf Course Thursday.

Kyle Walters (72-67-139) lead the way for the Warriors, tying for 22nd. Robert Berton (71-71-142) and Travis Toyama (72-70-142) are both tied for 51st, followed by Ryan Perez (77-70-147), tied for 82nd, and Cody Pewarchuk (77-76-153), in 92nd.

Three Warriors are competing as individuals. Daniel Soglanich (75-79-154) lead them, in 93rd. He's joined by Kamden Brakel (82-78-160), in 95th, and Chase Bingham (80-81-161), in 96th.

Stanford was 17-under-par as a team in the second round, moving up to first place at 22-under-par. Arizona State (-17) is in second, followed by Southern California (-16), Texas Tech (-14) and Georgia Tech (-13).

USC's Jamie Lovemark and ASU's Jesper Kennegard (-9) are tied for the individual lead. Four golfers, Rob Grube and Sihwan Kim of Stanford, Georgia Tech's Cameron Tringale and ASU's Stephan Gross, are tied for third at -8.

The tournament concludes tomorrow with the final round.
