HONOLULU – The University of Hawai`i Rainbow Warrior basketball team looks to win its fifth straight home game when it faces Chicago State on Monday, Dec. 15. Tip-off is 7:05 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center.
It will be the second game in three days for the Rainbow Warriors, who continue an eight-game home stand. It will also be another Monday night affair for the 'Bows, who have played on four Monday nights so far this year. UH is 3-1 overall on Monday including a 3-0 mark in the Stan Sheriff Center.
UH is coming off a 75-55 win over Eastern Washington on Saturday, its most comfortable victory of the season. Junior
Roderick Flemings poured in 37 points in the win over the Eagles. It was the most points scored by a Rainbow Warrior in 14 years and tied a Stan Sheriff Center record for most points by a Hawai`i player. Flemings leads the team in scoring at 19.4 ppg.
Chicago State comes into the game with a 3-5 mark and has an explosive player of its own in 5-8 guard David Holston, who is one of the top scorers in the NCAA at 26.9 ppg.
Following its meeting with the Cougars, UH will have nearly a week off before hosting UC Riverside on Tuesday, Dec. 23 at 7:05 p.m.
