Game Notes
HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i Rainbow Warrior basketball team returns to the court when it faces Iowa State in a non-conference match-up on Monday, Nov. 24. Tip-off is set for 7:05 p.m. at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Both teams are coming off a week-long break after a busy first weekend of basketball. The Rainbow Warriors started its season with three games in four days. UH lost to San Francisco and Cal State Fullerton in the Verizon Wireless Tip-off Classic, before picking up its first win of the year over Idaho State in overtime as part of ESPN's College Hoops Tip-off Marathon on Nov. 17.
Iowa State, meanwhile, hosted the World Vision Classic, Nov. 14-16, and captured the championship with three consecutive wins over UC Davis, Loyola Marymount and UW-Milwaukee.
This will be the first-ever meeting between Iowa State and Hawai`i. Iowa State, along with Texas Tech, is one just two Big 12 teams, the Rainbow Warriors have never faced. UH is 14-16 all-time versus Big 12 squads.
