HONOLULU - The University of Hawai'i Warrior football team begins a three-game, season-ending homestand with its Western Athletic Conference finale against Idaho, Saturday, Nov. 22. Kickoff is 6:05 p.m. at Aloha Stadium.
The Warriors (5-5, 4-3 WAC) are coming off a bye following a two-game, 11-day road trip. UH salvaged a split of its road trip with a 42-30 win at New Mexico State after opening with a 30-14 loss at Utah State. Hawai'i got its offense in gear by generating a season-high 447 yards of total offense, including 303 through the air, against NMSU.
Greg Alexander passed for 288 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for one score.
The Vandals (2-9, 1-6) suffered a 45-10 loss to in-state rival Boise State on Saturday. Idaho wraps up its season in Honolulu assured of its ninth straight losing season. The Vandals' lone WAC win this season was a 20-14 home victory over New Mexico State.
Idaho and Hawai'i have met eight previous times with the Warriors holding a 7-1 advantage. UH leads 5-1 in Honolulu. Idaho's only victory in the series occurred in 1960. Last season, the Warriors led 41-10 at the half en route to a 48-20 victory in Moscow, Idaho.
