UH Hosts Idaho State In Nationally Televised Contest

Game Notes

Adhar Mayen against USF
HONOLULU - The University of Hawai'i Rainbow Warrior basketball team plays its third game in four days when it faces Idaho State in the UH-ESPN Hoops Pa`ina Monday night at 11:05 p.m. All seats are general admission with reduced prices, while UH-System students get in free. All fans are encouraged to wear green.

The game is part of ESPN's College Hoops Tip-off Marathon, a new basketball extravaganza, featuring 23 consecutive hours of live college basketball game and studio programming. The UH-Idaho State game will be the third game in a tripleheader to kick off the event. It will be UH's first nationally televised home game since 2004 when when the Rainbow Warriors hosted Wisconsin-Milwaukee in an ESPN BracketBusters game.

The 'Bows seek their first win of the year after coming off of a pair of disappointing losses over the weekend in the Verizon Wireless Tip-Off Classic. UH dropped its season opener to San Francisco, 75-70, on Friday night and lost to Cal State Fullerton, 90-76, two nights later. Idaho State, meanwhile, escaped with a 75-70 win over NAIA squad Eastern Oregon in its season opener at home on Friday. The Bengals, out of the Big Sky Conference, will be making their first trip to the islands since 1991.
