Day 1 Results

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – The University of Hawai'i women's golf team opened the Price's Give 'Em Five Invitational Monday with a first-round score of 312. Competing on the New Mexico State Golf Course, the Rainbow Wahine are currently in 15th place at 24-over par.

 

Freshman Kelcie Kawano leads the way for UH, carding a 4-over (76) and is currently in a tie for 29th. Two shots back is senior Phyllis Lai at 78, followed by junior Corie Hou and senior Carolina Perez both at 79, and junior Erin Matsuoka finishing the round at 81.

 

UC Irvine leads the 17-team field with a 293 (+5) followed by Baylor (297) and Oklahoma (299) and host New Mexico State, who are in a tie for third. Individually, Jane Chin of UC Irvine is in the lead after shooting a 2-under (70).

 

The Give 'Em Five Invitational continues on Tuesday, with round two and concludes on Wednesday with the third and final round.
