Women’s Tennis Concludes Rainbow Wahine Invitational

HONOLULU – The University of Hawai`i women's tennis team finished the Rainbow Wahine Invitational Saturday morning at the UH Tennis Complex winning both doubles matches. UH's doubles teams played well throughout the three-day invitational.
 
The tournament featured teams from TCU, UC Santa Barbara, Hawai`i Pacific, and host UH and included both a singles and doubles individual format.
 
In doubles action Saturday, the team of Sophie Kobuch and Melinda Wong beat UC Santa Barbara's Tova Hausman and Michelle Murphy 8-3. UH's Natasha Zorec and Alyssa Nafarrete beat UC Santa Barbara's Sofia Novak and Asagi Onaga 8-2.
 
In singles action, all three UH players lost to TCU players. TCU finished last season ranked No. 26 in the nation.
