Rainbow Wahine Move To 14th After Second Day At NCAA West Regional

Day Two Results

ST. GEORGE, Utah - The University of Hawai`i Rainbow Wahine golf team (313-306-619) moved to 14th after the second day of the NCAA West Regional at the Entrada at Snow Canyon Friday.

Xyra Suyetsugu (76-76-152) is the top UH individual, tied for 37th. Dale Gammie (79-74-153) is right behind, tied for 43rd. They are followed by Corie Hou (76-78-154), tied for 48th, Nancy Shon (82-78-160), tied for 71st, and Lisa Kajihara (87-79-168), in a tie for 93rd.

Oklahoma State moved into the lead at 13-over-par. They are followed by Stanford (+19), Arizona State (+22), UC Irvine (+29), Pepperdine (+32), Brigham Young (+32), Denver (+37) and New Mexico and Washington State (+42), tied for eighth. The top eight teams advance to the NCAA Championships from May 22-25.

Oklahoma State's Pernilla Lindberg has the individual lead at six-under-par. She's followed by Mison Cho of Pepperdine (-1), Amanda Johnson of Oklahoma State and Arizona State's Juliana Murcia (+2) and four players tied for fifth at three-over-par.

The regional concludes with the final round tomorrow.
