Final Results
STANFORD, Calif. - The University of Hawai`i Rainbow Wahine golf team (301-291=592) finished the Peg Barnard Invitational in a tie for fourth place at the Stanford Golf Course Saturday.
Corie Hou (76-71=147) finished in 12th to lead UH individually. Dale Gammie (75-73=148) tied for 13th, followed by Xyra Suyetsugu (77-74=151), in a tie for 27th, Nancy Shon (80-73=153), in a tie for 35th, and Lisa Kajihara (73-84=157), in a tie for 44th.
Host Stanford came back to win the team title with a four-over-par final score. They were followed by Denver (+8), Oregon State (+18) and Hawai`i and Long Beach State (+24).
Individually, Long Beach State's Kay Hoey won at eight-under-par. She was followed by Stanford's Lauren Todd (-5), Denver's Stephanie Sherlock (-4) and three golfers tied at even par.
Hawai`i will now have a week off before heading to the WAC Championships in Las Cruces, N.M., from April 23-25.
