Final Results
PROVO, Utah - The University of Hawai`i Warrior golf team (295-292-292=879) finished the Ping Golf Cougar Classic in 10th place, rounding out their 2006-07 regular season.
Pierre-Henri Soero (75-73-69=217) fired a final-round 69 to move into a tie for 28th. He was followed by Ryan Perez (74-73-71=218), in a tie for 34th, Cody Wolfenbarger (75-73-74=222), in a tie for 49th, Kyle Walters (71-73-80=224), tied for 63rd, and Cody Pewarchuk (76-87-78=241), in 98th.
Host Brigham Young ran away with the tournament at 32-under-par. The Cougars were followed by Nevada (-17), Colorado State (-8), Texas-El Paso (-3) and New Mexico (-1).
Individually, BYU's Daniel Summerhays took the title at 11-under-par. He was followed by teammate Jake Ellison (-10), New Mexico's Charlie Beljan (-9), Nevada's Chase Cooper (-7) and Chad Keohane of UTEP (-6).
Hawai`i will next head to the WAC Championships in Reno, Nev., from April 31-May 2.
