Warriors In 11th After First Day Of Cougar Classic

Day One Results

PROVO, Utah - The University of Hawai`i Warrior golf team (295-292=587) is in 11th place after the first day of the Ping Golf Cougar Classic Friday.

Kyle Walters (71-73=144) is tied for 22nd. Ryan Perez (74-73=147) is in a tie for 42nd, followed by Pierre-Henri Soero (75-73=148) and Cody Wolfenbarger (75-73=148) is tied for 47th, with Cody Wolfenbarger (76-87=163) in 99th.

Host Brigham Young is in first place at 26-under-par. Nevada is in second at 12-under-par, followed by Colorado State and UTEP (-2) and New Mexico State (-1).

Individually, BYU's Jake Ellison is leading the way at 11-under-par. He's followed by Dustin Pimm of Utah and Chase Cooper of Nevada (-7) and BYU's Daniel Summerhays and Robbie Fillmore (-6).

The tournament concludes with the final round tomorrow.
