Warriors Finish John Burns Intercollegiate In 18th Place

Final Results

SCHOFIELD BARRACKS, O`ahu - The University of Hawai`i Warrior golf team (298-295-290=883) finished the John Burns Intercollegiate in 18th place at the Leilehua Golf Course Friday.

Ryan Perez (70-73-76=219) finished off in tie for 52nd place. Pierre-Henri Soero (78-71-72=221) tied for 71st, followed by Kyle Walters (78-75-69=222), who shot the best final round of the UH golfers to tie for 75th. Travis Toyama (77-76-73=226) in 91st and Cody Wolfenbarger (73-77-78=228) in a tie for 101st rounded out the team.

Individually, Ashton Herriott (78-74-74=226) finished in a tie for 91st with Cody Pewarchuk (73-78-81=231) in a tie for 110th and Chase Bingham (81-79-76=236) in a tie for 118th.

Brigham Young took the team title, shooting a three-day total of 834, capped by an amazing final round of 270. All five BYU golfers shot under par on the last day of the tournament. They were followed by UNLV (-22), Texas A&M (-9), San Diego State (-8) and Colorado State (-6).

Auburn individual Frank Wrenn IV won the individual title at 13-under-par. He was followed by BYU's Jake Ellison (-12), Mike Drake of Long Beach State (-10) and Arizona's Brian Prouty and Arkansas' Andrew Landry (-8).
