Warriors Conclude Fall With 17th Place Finish At Turtle Bay Resort College Invitational

Final Results

KAHUKU, O`ahu - The University of Hawai`i Warrior golf team (283-287-290-860) concluded their fall season with a 17th place finish in the Turtle Bay Resort College Invitational on the Fazio Course of the Turtle Bay Resort Wednesday.

Robert Berton (70-69-69-208) was UH's top finisher, tying for 21st. Travis Toyama (71-70-73-214) tied for 58th, followed by Ryan Perez (69-77-75-221) and Cody Pewarchuk (73-75-73-221), tied for 92nd, and Kyle Walters (74-73-76-223), tied for 98th.

Daniel Soglanich (73-76-72-221) led the Warriors that competed as individuals, tying for 92nd. He was followed by Chase Bingham (77-76-71-224), tying for 100th, and Kamdel Brakel (79-73-75-227), who finished in 106th.

Tennessee (-64) was the wire-to-wire tournament champions. They were followed by UC Irvine (-43), UT Arlington (-41) and St. Mary's, UNLV and College of Charleston (-35).

Charles Ford of Tennessee and UC Irvine's Sean Shahi (-16) tied for the individual title. No tie-breaker was played due to team travel plans. Pepperdine's Andrew Putnam and UT Arlington's Zach Reeves (-15) tied for third with three golfers tying for fifth at 14-under-par.

This tournament concludes the Warriors' fall season. They will next compete in the UH Hilo Invitational next February.
